Sew Sofia in print!
Earlier this year I had my first tutorial published in print in the Love Sewing magazine! I wrote a how-to guide on making a school satchel (my own design) using laminated cotton and opted for a more unisex Elephants print from the new "slicker" collection by Cloud 9 fabrics.
I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw my bag on the front cover of the magazine in my local supermarket!
My tutorial shows how to make a simple rectangular book bag with optional short handle on the flap and detachable shoulder strap. I offer several tips on working with laminated cotton which is such an easy and versatile fabric to sew!
