Sew Sofia is based in the UK. We currently offer tracked international shipping to certain countries using Royal Mail services.

• For the USA, any duties and import taxes are included in the total price at checkout. This is clearly indicated on the shipping label as Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) to ensure there are no extra charges on delivery of your parcel.
  
• For European countries - VAT is included at checkout on both physical and digital items. Please note, only my Sewing Kits and Digital Sewing Patterns are currently available to EU countries. Sew Sofia products comply with the EU General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) and has an authorised EU representative.
  
• For Germany, Sew Sofia is registered with the LUCID Packaging Register, Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister and has a packaging license with Reclay Systems GmbH in 2026.
  
• For other countries, customers are responsible for any duties and import taxes which are payable to the shipping carrier on delivery of your parcel. The carrier may incur a shipping handling fee as well.
  
• If your country is not included at checkout, please use our Etsy shop.

• Every two months, a set number of boxes are reserved exclusively for Busy Bagmaker members. 
  
• If there are any extra boxes over from a particular month, these may be made available to purchase later on as one-off Project Box Kits.
  
• There is however no guarantee that this will be the case every time a new box is released.
  
• There is also a saving when you subscribe.

I do not accept returns on subscriptions boxes due to the customised nature of these, which include a non refundable digital pattern and pre-cut materials and interfacings. You are however welcome to pause or cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel after a box has been shipped, your subscription will be cancelled for the subsequent box. Please refer to my full Subscription Policy for more details.

Most of my sewing patterns do have an accompanying video tutorial which can be found on my YouTube channel. All of my patterns have step by step instructions and colour photos. My Carina Satchel and free patterns do not have video tutorials but please get in touch if you need help with any step.

• Items are shipped from the UK and delivery details vary depending on whether an item is readymade or made-to-order.
• Ready to ship items will be dispatched in 1-2 business days.  If you are in the UK, there is the option to upgrade to 24hr tracked delivery.
• Turnaround times for items that have yet to be made will be specified in the product description. Feel free to contact me before making your purchase or reply to the email you received when you placed your order. 

I wrap most items in tissue paper, ready to gift. Certain items such as clutch wallets or larger bags may be packaged in an organza storage bag, depending on the size of the item. If you'd like to send something directly to your recipient, please leave your gift message at the checkout and I will print it out to include with your gift.

My items are handcrafted with the greatest care using high quality materials, special interfacings and metal hardware. Avoid overloading your bag with heavy items as this will cause wear and tear, spoil the shape of the bag and put a strain on the strap. Do not immerse in water or a washing machine! The layers of special  interfacing and lining could displace or shrink in the wash and any metal hardware could become scratched or damaged. Consider using a fabric protector spray e.g. Scotchguard, to repel dirt and keep your bag or wallet clean.

For fabric bags only: spot clean minor stains with a mild soap solution, avoiding rubbing. Touch up any creases with an iron on a low setting.

For bags with faux leather or laminated (wipe clean) fabric: spot clean with a mild soap solution. Wipe clean gently with a soft damp cloth. Do not iron!
